What information should I be ready with when calling 911?

The following will be typical questions asked by the 911 operator:

• What happened? where? when? how? who did it?
• If a vehicle was involved, what was the license plate number? color? make? model? year?
• Which way did it go when it left the scene?
• How many people were in the vehicle? Were they armed?
• What was their sex? race? age? height? weight? hair color? clothing?
• Any unusual characteristics?; Did they say anything?
